Dizzee Rascal has returned with a hot collaboration for the summer, teaming up with sought-after garage and bassline producer efan to release “Filthy Bassline”.
Amid the run-up to the decade’s biggest general election, Dizzee aims to make a bold statement with this track, offering the nation “a massive dose of filthy bass”. Their partnership began when efan’s viral bootleg remix of Dizzee’s “Bassline Junkie” caught Dizzee’s attention, leading to further collaborations on his eighth studio album, Don’t Take It Personal.
The track, accompanied by a self-directed music video, marks fifteen years since Dizzee’s iconic Newsnight appearance with Jeremy Paxman.
