
The MOBO Awards 2025 celebrated the best in Black music and culture, with a star-studded event highlighting outstanding achievements across various genres.
The ceremony, known for its recognition of talent in hip-hop, R&B, grime and more, saw Central Cee and Darkoo taking home the Best Male and Best Female Act awards, respectively.
Bashy made a triumphant return to the music scene, winning Album of the Year for Being Poor Is Expensive and securing the Best Hip-Hop Act award. Darkoo’s track “Favourite Girl” featuring Dess Dior was named Song of the Year, while Mnelia’s “My Man”, directed by Femi Bello, won Video of the Year.
The Best Newcomer award went to Odeal, who also secured the Best R&B/Soul Act category, marking a significant breakthrough in his career. In the grime scene, Scorcher was crowned Best Grime Act, while Pozer took home Best Drill Act.
The 90s Baby Show won Best Media Personality, highlighting their impact in the entertainment world. In the acting category, Jacob Anderson received the award for Best Performance in a TV Show/Film for his role as Louis in Interview with the Vampire.
The MOBO Paving the Way award was given to Denise Lewis, while the MOBO Impact Award honored dancehall legend Vybz Kartel.
